This 4x 90 minute 1 on 1 private lesson course is designed for aspiring DJs seeking to develop their mixing skills and musical knowledge. Each week features a combination of theoretical lectures and hands-on practical sessions, focusing on key elements such as beatmatching, EQing, music programming, and transitions. Lessons are taught in my humble home in Sacramento CA.

Course Outline

Week 1: Introduction to DJ Equipment and Software
Participants will familiarize themselves with various DJ gear and software, learning the fundamentals of setting up equipment and understanding essential functions.

Week 2 and 3: Beatmatching Techniques
These two weeks focus on the art of beatmatching, teaching students how to synchronize tempos and create seamless transitions between tracks.

Week 4: Mix Programming & Live Performance Skills
Students will explore different mixing styles and genres, gaining insight into track selection, arrangement, and the importance of building energy throughout a set.

By the end of the course, students will have the basic skills and knowledge to take the next steps in their DJ journey.
